The Red Panda walks!

Just upgraded to Firefox 2.0.
Initial impression: not much changed from 1.5.0.7, which is fine by me. I will need to get used to having the tab close button on each tab instead of off to the right, but I think I prefer the new arrangement. I like the new tab navigation button they put in its previous place.
I had an “oh crap” moment when the installation reported that the del.icio.us plugin was incompatible. But that was immediately followed by an “oh cool” moment when it offered to search for and found an upgraded version of the plugin, which installed without a hitch.
Looking at the release notes, I found a few gems. We all knew about the much touted anti-phishing technology. But I especially like the in-line spell-checking and the new feed subscription support.
We’ll see after extended use whether they’ve improved on the memory leakage that many users (including yours truly) experienced in version 1.5.
Best of all, all of my web sites still function the same as before.
Sometime later I’ll install Internet Explorer 7 and see what boon or bane it brings my way.
Where did I get that title?
