Random reuse

December 1st, 2007 2:56:05 pm pst by Sterling Camden

Encouraged reuse: Last time I went to our local market, an employee gave me two very sturdy cloth shopping bags for free . Then when I checked out, they credited me .05 each for using them — as they will do each time I use them in the future.

Forced reuse: The LCD display on my new HP Pavilion notebook is on the fritz. After speaking with a representative in India on what seemed to be a very bad VOIP connection, I learned that I’ll have to ship it back to them for repairs. That means I’ll be doubling up usage on my other systems for a couple of weeks.

Natural reuse: It’s snowing here. Happy December!

I wish for snow, we are having unrelenting rain.

Aaah snow. I’ve only ever seen it once, and it was a beautiful sight. *sigh* Happy December~

  3. The snow continued for two days, then changed to rain. Some form of H2O has been falling from the sky very rapidly for three days now. Starting to worry about flooding.

  4. Snow? What’s that? I haven’t seen snow in a few years. I miss it, although I’m sure I’ll have enough of it in the winter if I can move to NH by the end of next year (2008, that is).

    • Yeah, I should think so Joseph. I remember seeing snow in NH in April once. Beautiful state.

We lost power here this morning for about six hours due to high winds. Just got DSL back an hour or so ago.

New Acer PCs won’t let you replace that shoddy new Vista with the well-tried (but not trusted) XP Pro :-(
