Chip's Quips
A tiny spark of wit for a highly flammable world

Thanks for the reddit, Reg!  Thanks also to you and to Assaf for link-loving that post.

I’ve noticed that programming-related posts seem to get a much bigger boost in traffic when redditted than when dugg.  I think more geeks hang out at reddit, and they seem more focused and passionate about discussing programming topics.  My observations are based on a limited number of posts, though — for the most part submitted by my good friend apotheon.  This is the first time I’ve been redditted by Reg (I feel so special), and the page hits went through the roof.  I’m thinking Reg must have quite a following on reddit.

I’ve gotten at least one hit off the link to me in this post, by the way. Funny how that happens.

Thanks for the kind words (“good friend”). It’s always good to know I’m held in reasonably high regard by those I hold in high regard.

Get enough page views, and sooner or later every link on it gets clicked. Oddly enough, though, this page has only been viewed 6 times before today.

Unlike many “kind words”, these are true.

One in six is pretty good. I guess the “good friend” bit was an incentive to click — that, or one in six just clicked on every single link, I suppose.

Oops. That should have been a reply to yours, Chip.
