Alyx tagged me with the Random 8 meme.   Wait a sec – I’ve done that meme before!  But hey, I’m such a verbal exhibitionist (aka blogger), and it’s the first time I was ever tagged by Alyx, so I’ll respond anyway.  Besides, if it’s truly random, there’s a high probability that I won’t repeat myself, right?

OK, 8 completely random facts about myself:

NO WAIT!  Not entirely random — we need some filters here.  Lets try again:

1. Somewhere I read that you owe it to yourself to own at least one convertible in your lifetime.  I just bought my third one, but it’s been eight years since I sold the second one, so I’m past due.
2. I grew up in southern Virginia, where my family has lived for about 300 years.  I like to visit, but I don’t think I could ever live there again.  Even as a child, I always felt like a stranger there.
3. Alyx can’t believe her son is 15 — well my oldest just turned 24.  When I was 24, he was already born.  Take that for feeling old.
4. Sometimes I feel very young – like I’m just playing at this whole grown-up game.  Shh, don’t tell anyone.
5. I’m a Backgammon addict.  I could play it all day if I didn’t have more grown-up things to do, like making money.
6. I used to be taller — I lost more than an inch of height somewhen since age 30.
7. When I sleep, I snore.  No, I roar.  My wife often has to leave.  I’ve tried everything, even surgery.
8. Technology and I have a love/hate relationship.  I love gadgets and programming languages, but sometimes I need to get away from it all.  I guess that’s what early morning walks are for.
