Chipping the web – kicks

March 9th, 2007 5:19:39 pm pst by Sterling Camden

Chipping the web65 is the decimal value of the ASCII character ‘A’.

Never forget 1-31-07 (thanks, Rebecca).

Thanks to John Koetsier, I just added the Criteo Autoroll widget to the sidebar. This widget uses the Criteo recommendation engine to generate a list of relevant sites. Let me know what you think of it.

Once you’ve had some time with AutoRoll, be sure to let us know what you think of it, too. ;-)

Hey Brandon, thanks for stopping by and commenting. One thing I’ve noticed: it does slow down page loads, sometimes by several seconds. I’m hoping that you’ll beef up your servers as adoption continues to escalate.

OK, one more thing – positive this time. I have noticed a number of new visitors coming through the autoroll (by tracking referrers and seeing that as the only link on the page of origin) — which is why the slow page loads haven’t caused me to remove the widget (yet).

Thanks for the feedback! AutoRoll is continually being optimized to improve performance, so please stick with us – things will keep improving.

It’s definitely good to hear that the widget is bringing you new visitors!
