Wowch. Dave Greten takes the buzzword hatchet to some old marketing copy from one of my clients. We’ll have to work on that.

It’s almost a little too true to be funny. Thanks, TDavid.

John Koetsier breaks into the top 25K (or roughly the top 0.05%). Congrats, and thanks for the link!

When I read Joel’s first post on Wasabi, I had one of those “brain damage” moments

I love their contest!
Yeah, Joseph, I particularly liked the second example.
Being in the top 25K @ Technorati is impressive, at least to me. Especially considering I just recently broke the top 430K :p
Just less than two months ago I broke into the top 100K. Now I’m in the top 40K. Thanks to links from my readers!
Wow. linklove is definitely the way to go. i’ve been trying to spread the love myself, generally just by doing what I always do, blog about web sites and entries in other blogs (like the one I just made about Andreas Viklund).
I’m getting Google PageRank like crazy at SOB — more than you, Sterling — but my Technorati rank is three times as far back in the tail than yours. Strange, the vagaries of Internet popularity.
Not sure whether that’s a difference in algorithm or index, apotheon. Could be that Technorati puts more weight on links from blogs specifically.
From what I’ve seen, Technorati ranks entirely by incoming bloglinks. I have incoming links for far fewer blogs at SOB than you have here.
where can I go to see my google pagerank?
I use the Google PageRank Status extension for Firefox. There’s a page somewhere at Google that shows it, too, but I don’t remember where.
Neat, I’ll go google for it, hehe. (:
Glad you responded to the hack job I did on your client well
I have declared war on jargon and the dejargonator was the only way I could think of getting companies to clean up their act. I’m happy to see you taking a positive out of my negative.
Dave, Synergex actually saw your write-up first, and asked me for my opinion on it. After rereading the original copy, I had to agree with you. They’re in the process of redoing much of their communication, focusing more on customer success stories (which is what they do best) rather than the specific technologies involved. Thanks for the additional kick in the pants to keep that moving forward.
Joseph, I use prchecker. It’s really easy. http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php
Thanks Sterling, but I already have the PR extension installed. I have absolutely 0 page rank, your PR isn’t available for some reason, and ‘poth there has a PR of 5. Ah the vagaries of Internet…wait, apotheon already said that. :p
chipsquips.com and chipstips.com both rank 4. camdensoftware.com ranks 5 (for some bizarre reason).
Odd, the plugin isn’t registering that. I’m going to have to see what’s up with that.
As of today, I’m showing n/a for Chip’s Quips. Must be a temporary glitch of some kind.
I’ve been showing that since I got the plugin, but the PHP site I was linked to shows 5 or 4
Strange. prchecker.info comes up with 4 every time.
