Holy crap — Google is reading my thoughts with orbital mind-control lasers! That process manager model for the browser is something I had in mind for developing a new browser at some point.
Really, though, the whole thing just sounds most excellent, judging by all the explanatory stuff in the “comic”. I can’t wait for Google to release a beta test version for a real OS.
It’s out now.
That’s for Windows though. :p
Yes, unfortunately its limited to Windows for now. Google says they are “working on” Linux and Mac versions.
My SigO has already been using it at work, a little bit. She can’t use it *for* work-related stuff at present, because it doesn’t work with the company’s Web application, but she tried it out for a while.
Of course, it’s still not available for a real OS. Darnit.
What types of issues does it have for her company’s web app? Anything standards-related?
