I didn’t even know that Emily was Libertarian. I guess it figures — she’s intelligent, after all.

As a would-be bassist, I’m offended! We need protectionist legislation to ensure the viability of the bass player industry now!
I’m thinking of using it, if you do.
Nice to be in such good company — isn’t it?
Don’t fret — how about government subsidies for American bass players?
That’s music to my ears. On that note — where do I sign up? I could stand to pickup some extra cash, as a struggling bassist.
Hopefully you’re not just stringing me along. That’d be a real pain in the neck.
Well, I think it would be a great way to amplify the funds of bassists who are strapped for cash. But I have no authority to implement this idea — I’m just riffing.
I think we need to play with this idea a bit more, maybe get a staff together to explore the possibilities, measure the comparative benefits of different approaches, and pick whatever works best. I’m pretty jazzed about the idea.
If we compose a workable plan, we can really bridge the gap between talent and success. Call me a nut, but I think that’s a worthy goal. We can start small, and scale up. After all, it’s not where we start, but where we finish that’s key. Sometimes, if you try to start at the end, you can really get yourself in a jam.
I wonder if Emily’s reading this — all this talk about government funding might of Fender.

. . . and with that, I think I’m done.
Aw, c’mon… encore! Your puns are classic.
Sorry — I lost my rhythm.
