"grate" means exactly what it says: abrasive, or the grill that covers a sewage pipe, because what I say is often annoying to MSM types and narcissistic misanthropes.

"vaspers" is my handle from when I was in a theological debate bulletin board, that banned me later, and is a deconstrucivist slurring of the word "vespers" an evening service with bells, thus I do my best work at night with noise music CDs playing.

Hey Paul, I got the link from my feed reader. It's what your feeds have in the <link> element. And it works to click on it. I think its an option in FeedBurner you turned on to have it track clicks from the feed. Usually I click through and get the page link instead, but I must have been lazy.

Hey, if it works for you, man, do it whatever way you like! :-) I think the tagging issues could be sorted by software if the whole semantic web thing really kicks off; I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

One question though: how come you linked to my feed?

Thanks, apotheon. I found those same links to be the most interesting, yours included. The perpetual beta nonsense we see so much of in Web Too Oh just renders the term "beta" meaningless.

There's an excellent, thought-provoking pile of links in this post. My favorites were about mojo (Tara), binding arbitration (Shelley), and rebooting (Steve). I have a couple minor points of divergence in perspective with Tara on the subject of mojo; I only question a couple of apparent, but only subtly represented, assumptions behind a couple of merely tangential statements made by Shelley, and otherwise share concerns about arbitration in a corporate world; I have numerous and specific issues with Steve's take on software and living systems, including some problems with the overarching concepts and conclusions, though the discussion of the importance of (not) rebooting was by far the most thought-provoking of all (and thus probably the most valuable).

I'm sure I'd include that rattling on about Delta Release Status in my list of favorites, and mention something about my points of disagreement and overal enjoyment of the concept, but really, that would just be vain (and more than a little self-flagellation).
